卡特彼勒CAT柴油發動機進、排氣系統的組成件控制燃燒所需要的空氣質量和數量。卡特彼勒柴油機每邊均有一個單獨的增壓器和一根排氣支管，卡特彼勒CAT柴油發動機中冷器裝在卡特彼勒柴油機中心的缸頭之間，進氣支管為一列彎頭，連接中冷器通到缸頭進口，兩根凸輪軸，分開裝在機體兩邊，控制伐系統成件的運動。

Each cylinder has two inlet valves and two exhaust valves, please refer to the "cutting system parts". When the piston moves upward, into the exhaust stroke, the exhaust valve opens, the exhaust through the exhaust port into the exhaust pipe (1), the piston completes the exhaust stroke, the exhaust valve closed, circular (inlet, pressure, power, row) and start.
